Furnishings According to Shape – the right glass coffee table

Many times there are rooms that may appear to be difficult to furnish. This can be due to several things. Perhaps it is small and you don’t want it to look crowded and cluttered. Or, possibly, it is a large room and your current furniture may appear lost in it. There have been times that a room was difficult to do because of its shape.

Some homes have a sunroom and most often they are long and narrow which can be a little difficult to furnish. Or, perhaps you have seen some homes that have added a rounded dormer type of room in the attic. Another example is room that juts out of the home in a hexagon shape. They can all be difficult, but not impossible to decorate it quite stylishly.

A good idea for furnishing this type of room, whether round or long and narrow, is to use a casual but elegant approach. The Carmel Round Drum Cocktail Table is an excellent example of casual elegance with its bowl shape and finished in woven sea grass with a brass inset on curved, tapered legs in a rich mahogany finish. You may want to consider adding a few other pieces to finish the look in the room. Consider both the matching end table and the half round console table would look great against one of the walls. If you love the look of the table but think it may be a little too large for the room, check out the Carmel Pub Table. It has the same finish with sea grass and brass insets, just on a smaller scale.

Just remember not to let the shape or size of the room throw you off, with a little shopping around you are sure to find something perfect for your room.
