When Family Time is Limited – Kitchen Furniture gets the call

by EVS Blog Admin on September 28, 2007

Are you are one of those parents that have to rush home from work and immediately begin preparing dinner for everyone? If so it may make you feel like you are neglecting quality time with your children. It may not make you feel any better, but at least don’t feel alone. In many families it is necessary to work long hours to help with income.

Perhaps you should consider adding some counter stools to your home. It is a perfect way to be able to watch over and talk with your child while you prepare the meals. You can have them get on one of the stools where you can see what they are doing or asking while you can continue to chop your vegetables, clean dishes or anything else.

It can also be a great way to get your teenager to sit still for a moment and eat or talk. They are usually on their way to a friend’s home or are involved in after school activities so their time at home, especially for meals can be hurried. Perhaps you can fix something for them to eat, or have them do it themselves and sit at the counter so you can keep working but at the same time you are making sure they do eat and may be able to actually catch up a little on what is going in their hectic life.

No, counter stools may not be perfect but nothing is, so you need to take advantage of every chance you get.
