If you are like many people you love to change your home’s decor to match the season. That does not necessarily mean just winter, summer, etc. Seasonal can also refer to the holidays. So, how do change looks without a major remodeling job?
That is where accent tables come in and can really change a room’s appearance. It is best when decorating a room that you will want to change occasionally, to consider having them in neutral colors. This makes it much easier to change the appearance, even on a whim, without drastic changes.
For instance if you have a sofa in a neutral color and want to spice it up for the holiday’s you can add different color pillows to the couch bringing out the warmth of the season perhaps adding window sheers or curtain tie-backs in the same color to bring it all together. Then with a great accent table in the room you can add sprigs of holly or a group of candles in varying sizes.
Or if you have a recliner, add a chenille throw that depicts the season, across the back. Then add something similar for the accent table, maybe a matching table cloth or even another throw folded just enough to cover the top and still match.
The versatility of an accent table makes it the perfect furnishing for “remodeling” your home according to the holidays, seasons or just because you think it is time for a change.
